# Glyph

> Glyph is a free, fast desktop music player for Windows, macOS and Linux. It searches many legal music sources at once (Audius, Internet Archive, Jamendo, Deezer previews, SoundCloud, YouTube and more), merges the results into one list and plays them in one flat, quiet app with synced lyrics, ASCII-art covers and an optional account that syncs a library across devices.

Glyph is a native app written in Rust (GPUI), not a web app. It plays only free and legal sources: full songs from open platforms and official 30 second previews elsewhere. It has no ads and no tracking. The server behind it (glyph-server) is open source and can be self-hosted.
